DPC is a new way to get high quality, comprehensive healthcare from a doctor who cares, all for a low, flat monthly fee. DPC doctors ditch the broken healthcare system, leave their employeed hospital jobs, and start providing care at reasonable prices. It’s that simple. No insurance, no corporate health system, no middlemen. Just doctors and patients. Practically speaking, DPC is a membership model for healthcare. Every patient pays a flat monthly fee to become a member of the DPC practice.

#1 You think you need to go the ER or ugent care. If you feel sick, have a cut, twist an ankle, and its not office hours, you may go to the ER or urgent care just because you do not know what to do. Going to either of these is a surefire way to drain your pocketbook. Insurance coverage of emergency care is spotty at best, and urgent care centers are known to mislead patients regarding the true costs of care. One bad day can cost you thousands of dollars—enough to cover years of a DPC membership. As a DPC patient, you know exactly who to call when you need help.
#2 You care about your health. Here's the thing: direct primary care is the best game in town when it comes to healthcare. Before DPC, only movie stars and the super-rich were able to afford a personal doctor. To keep a personal doctor on staff costs around thousands of dollars per month. The rest of us had to a) wait until we were sick before talking to a doctor, then b) schedule a visit weeks in advance just to c) spend 10 minutes with a doctor we'd never met. With DPC, everyone can have a personal doctor on speed dial for a shockingly low amount. Having a medical expert at hand to answer questions, keep track of your preventative screenings, advise on your diet and lifestyle, and actually care about your happiness was simply not possible before. Now it is. By splitting hairs over tens of dollars, you may lose thousands of dollars or days of your time.
#3 You're overpaying for insurance. If you're on an insurance plan named after a precious metal, you shouldn't be. You pay so much for care for unnecessary “health benefits” that are hard to use, and you don’t even get to see a doctor faster than 3 months. As a DPC patient, the majority of your healthcare will be taken care of by your DPC doctor. All standard care, wound treatment, blood work, preventative screens, and physicals will either be included in your membership or provided at a fair price by your doctor, so you can choose a high deductible, low premium plan for your emergencies. We can discuss your specific finances at our initial, free visit.

Direct Primary Care is not insurance, and insurance DOES NOT mean healthcare or access to your doctor. Insurance was meant to cover catastrophies & emergencies, not every aspect of care, because most primary care is pretty cheap! Insurance jacks up the costs and does not pay your doctor for the work they do. It means you pay hundreds of dollars in premiums for a POSSIBLE hospitalization, but you do not have access to a regular doc when you need one because your doctor has to see thousands of patients to stay afloat! Why not pay $80-100 bucks a month for essentially 24/7 access, cheaper labs, cheaper imaging, cheaper specialist visits along with essentially a personal doctor to triage you to avoid urgent care/the ER if possible + even help arrange cash pay specialist care if needed! Leave the insurance for hospitalizations, really expensive drugs & surgeries :). Its not just celebrites who get personal doctors! We are happy to talk through your individual financial situation in a free initial visit.

We can still see you! We do encourage you get a hazard/catastrophic insurance plan as direct Primary Care is not insurance and cannot cover hospitalizations, surgeries, or very expensive drugs. However, we can be a friendly doc to call if you do end up in the hospital or need surgery, and we can see you and offer you all the same services at the same price as an insured person.

Unfortunately, its not clear with federal regulations if DPC doctors can privately contract membership fees separately from Medicaid, so at this time we cannot accept Medicaid or Medicare patients. We encourage Medicaid/Medicare patients to seek care typically at FQHCs or a county hospital.
Is it too good to be true?
No! It is possible because we cut out the middleman, and we run a lean practice to be the most cost-effective yet high-quality for you.
